The Guild was founded in 1952 and meets on the
third Wednesday in each month at 2.30 p.m. Our speakers
cover a wide range of subjects and sometimes illustrate their
talks with slides. Each meeting concludes with light refreshments
and time for conversation. The Guild members help at the Tuesday
Coffee Mornings and also organise the Home-made Cake Stall at
the Christmas Fair.
Praise Group is a house group that meets twice a month on Wednesdays between 7.00 and 8.00 p.m. All ages are welcome. We sing praise songs old and new, and usually sing during All-Age Worship once a month. The group is an opportunity for all who enjoy singing to meet to praise God and learn new songs with much chat and laughter in between. We meet at 11 Birchdale Avenue, Heald Green, where we have a piano and percussion instruments available, and sometimes a euphonium adds much to our accomplishments.
Messy Church consists of crafts, story, music, and a short act of worship which will conclude with a light lunch together. Please visit again to find out when our next Messy Church is taking place – all ages welcome – children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
We publish a monthly newsletter (double issue July/August and December/January) which gives news and details of events, articles and family news. This can be obtained from the Church on request. |
